We are still in it, but doing it the hard way, fighting our way back through the "losers' bracket." That means we have to play--and win--twice a day instead of once. Still, it's nice to get that second chance after a disappointing game last night. The girls played better this morning, but still aren't at the top of their game, as they were Sunday in our final pool play contest. Hopefully they will find their groove and stay there.
Next game: This evening at 5:15 pm v. Florida Wildcats (from Tampa?). Go Eclipse! Bring on the Knight Fever...

Mother Basketball is right: the girls played better this morning. Motor City Finest is probably one of the best teams in the Loser's bracket, so a 6-point win is a job well done.
Our next opponent is staying in our hotel. We've seen these girls and their parents walking around for days now, but we don't know how good they are. With 94 teams here and only three teams staying in our hotel, the odds of playing someone staying next door are pretty slim.
You might have an occasional chat with a parent from another team, but it's pretty rare. The only difference for us is having Bella along means we meet all the other dog owners, including the head coach's family from the Air Oklahoma Stars. They have a dog named Honey, who has become rather chummy with Bella. Not too chummy, girl, as we don't want you consorting with the enemy!
Well, the War Wagon pulls out in 15 minutes. Wish us luck!
